Hailed from Imo state, Duru began his football career at Blessed Stars Football Academy in Benin City.
The left wing back became a professional footballer when he joined Lobi Stars of Makurdi in 2016.
Before joining Lobi Stars, Duru had spells with Dynamite Force and FC Ebedei.
Duru in his youthful career played for Benin Vipers as well as Gidi FC.
The rise of the Upper Mission road boy to the top is no doubt going by his hard work and resilience since he made his professional debut for Lobi Stars in 2016.
Invited by former Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr to the national, Duru earned his first call up under new coach Jose Peseiro to the national team during the September FIFA international break for the friendly match against Algeria.
Speaking exclusively to Nigeriasoccernet.com, Ebube Duru said Arsenal Football Club is his favourite and dream European Club.
His football idol, of course no other person but the wizard and legendary Real Madrid left wing back, Marcelo.
Presently wears jersey number 27 for Rivers united, in Duru’s highest scoring season, he produced 3 goals for his team as they clinch the 2021/22 Nigeria Professional Football League title.
The former Lobi Stars of Makurdi player said Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka is his favourite Nigerian player, surprising though.
And his favourite food is fufu and egusi soup, I know you’re salivating already.
He loves putting on whites.
Ebube Duru is not married yet but trust the football star not to be single as well just in case you’re crushing on him.
He was on parade for Rivers United in their first and second preliminary rounds of the 2022/23 CAF Champions League and although they lost heavily 7-2 on aggregate to Wydad Athletic, he is expected to propel his team to the CAF Confederation Cup group stages next month when they face Al-Nasr of Libya in the playoff round.
