The Nigeria U-23 Men’s team have lost the second leg of their U-23 African Cup of Nations, AFCON qualifiers Qualifiers against Guinea on Tuesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Olympic Eagles as they are called lost by two goals to nil at the Complexe Sportif Prince Heritier Moulay Al Hassan in Morocco.
The Guineans scored the first goal in the 61sr minutes and consolidated the win in the 76th minutes sealing a 2-0 aggregate win after a goalless affair in the first leg in Abuja.
The loss means Nigeria will not be at the U23 AFCON and will miss out on the Olympic Games in Paris 2024.
It also means the Nigerian team will miss out on back-to-back Olympics and no U23 AFCON as well.
