The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the German Football Association are currently a rig of war over the services of SV Hamburger defender Jonas David.
Born in Germany to a Nigerian father, Jonas has previously represented Germany at the U-19 and U-20 youth levels; but there are speculations currently that Nigeria is interested in the youngster.
Reports out of Germany has confirmed that a top NFF official, Baba Abdulrahman who works with the deputy technical director of NFF has met with the defender and his representatives over a possible switch to the Super Eagles.
The NFF under the leadership of Ibrahim Gusau has vowed never to leave lucrative and valuable sons and daughters of the country in foreign lands, this he wants to achieve by providing an enabling ground for both local and international players to thrive.
