The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) maybe having a Stormy time this year as more of its major partners threatening to pull out or not renew their partnerships with the body when they elapse nigeriasoccernet.com understands.
This stems from what some of them describe as the unprofessional attitude to corporate relationships from the football house.
The NFF has got the goodwill and sponsorship of some of the top brands in corporate Nigeria such as Nigerian Breweries, Air Peace, Cadbury, MTN, Emzor Pharmaceuticals, Aiteo, Coca-Cola, Revolution Plus and Premier Lotto, which runs into billions of naira.
Already, Air Peace, Coca-Cola and Revolution Plus have severed ties with the federation.
Nigeria soccernet gathered that some other organisations have also decided to walk out when their existing deals elapsed because of the attitude of the federation to such deals.
A media officer of one of the company said: “We are not a charity organisation, which doles out money without getting anything in return. We entered into the partnership with NFF because we thought a big brand like the Nigerian football federation would present great marketing opportunities for us. But that is not the case.
“We kept to our own part of the deal sponsored the Super Eagles and it’s activities but quiet unfortunately the football federation have not reciprocated the business relationship.
