NFF ELECTIONS: Ibrahim Gusau defeats Idah Peterside to emerge new President

NFF former Chairman of Chairmen, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau has emerged as the new President of the Nigeria Football Federation’ (NFF) President, defeating Seyi Akinwunmi and Shehu Dikko

The Votes Cast at first saw Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusua lead the pack with 21 votes while Christain Emeruwa and David Buhari Doherty had no votes to their names and were exempted from the re-run.

Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau: 21
Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi: 12
Mallam Shehu Dikko: 6
Peterside Idah: 1
Alhaji Abba Abdullahi Yola: 1
Dr. Christian Emeruwa: 0
David-Buhari Doherty: 0

After the votes were carried out there was a rerun due to the fact Ibrahim Gusua didn’t get up to 22 votes.

The re-un was contested between former Nigeria International, Idah Peterside and Ibrahim Gusau

However, it wasn’t to be for Idah Peterside as Ibrahim Gusau was clear winner as he had 39 votes to Peterside’s 1.

Ibrahim Gusau – 39 Votes.

Peterside Idah – 1 Vote.

The Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau led administration will pilot the affairs of the NFF for the next 4 years.
