NFF Election: “The time to rebuild our football is now”- Chairman PFAN Task Force

NFF Races Against Time To Avoid CAF Penalty
At the 77th Annual General assembly, elections into the board of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) was slated for September 30 in Benin City, Edo State.

However, Chairman Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN) Task Force, Harrison Jalla has stressed that unless amendments are made in the statute guiding the NFF, elections into the Executive Board will be a waste.

“The position of the PFAN Task Force remains that the September 30th 2022 election is only feasible if amendments are made to relevant sections of the NFF Statute to accommodate Equal and Fair Representation in the composition of the Executive Board, Congress and Sub/Standing Committees of the NFF.

“No serious football playing nation would leave the future of its football in the hands of these current set of grossly incompetent States F.A Chairmen, not with the Trauma, Agony, Disgrace, and Emotional Torture Nigerians went through in the last eight years.

“It would be another inglorious and disastrous journey if the current structure of 37 States F.A Chairmen reproduce themselves as a new NFF Executive Board.

“The footballers bloc dully represented by the PFAN Task Force will never allow that to happen. There is no rocket science in the amendments that can be done in one sitting. The time to rebuild our football is now.”
