English Championship side Newcastle are reportedly planning a January move for Super Eagles and Genk defender-cum-midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.
German Bundesliga side Hamburg reportedly had a £5 million approach for Ndidi rejected in the summer but Genk are said to be willing to do business in January.
Also English Premier League clubs Tottenham and Watford were also said to be looking at the versatile player.
Newcastle will have money to spend in January as Rafael Benitez’s side seek to solidify their position at the top of the Championship table in their bid to make an immediate return to the Premier League.
Ndidi was in action for the Super Eagles in their 3-1 matchday 2 home win against Algeria in last Saturday’s FIFA 2018 World Cup qualifier, coming on in the second half for skipper Mikel Obi.
He was also in action for the Eagles who beat Zambia 2-1 in Ndola on matchday 1.
