Nantes winger Moses Simon has been shortlisted for the Best African Player of the Year award in France, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The award named in honour of the late Cameroon international Marc-Vivien Foé is set aside to celebrate African players in France.
Simon has been in impressive form for Nantes this season, scoring seven goals and providing eight assists for the Yellow Canaries.
The 29-year-old Nigeria international will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of compatriots Vincent Enyeama and Victor Osimhen, who have both won the award in previous years.
Enyeama was the first Nigerian to claim the honour in the 2013/14 season, while Osimhen won the award during his time with Lille in the 2019/20 campaign.
Simon will be looking to emulate their success and bring the prestigious award back to Nigeria.
