Asante Kotoko’s problems compounded with a third-straight defeat after the 1-0 reverse at WAFA on Wednesday in the Ghana Premier League.
The Academy Boys needed a 50th minute goal from midfielder Ashimeru Majeed to bag the points.
Majeed scored a couple of minutes after Zakaria Mumuni had a goal scored disallowed.
Kotoko had few chances but goalkeeper Felix Annan was up to the task with a portfolio of saves.
WAFA have now moved to third place; three points behind second-place Berekum Chelsea.
Kotoko are in 12th position but one point above the relegation mark.
