Having represented England at U-15, U-17, U-19 and U-23 level, Plumptre switched her allegiance to Nigeria, her father’s country.
Having missed Super Falcons last two group games due to a slight injury, Plumptre returned to the starting lineup against Cameroon and the quarter-finals and was paraded for the entire duration.
Tweeting the feat achieved by the Falcons after the match, Plumptre wrote:
