Leicester City fear Iheanacho sustaining season ending injury

Leicester City manager, Dean Smith sounded so worried while providing Kelechi Iheanacho‘s  injury update following Tuesday’s Premier League clash against Leeds United, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Foxes boss admitted Iheanacho’s injury, “didn’t look great”

Iheanacho suffered the injury in the build-up to Jamie Vardy’s equaliser, the Nigerian gripping his groin as he ran through but still managing to thread a pass forward to James Maddison as he limped on.

The Nigeria international was replaced immediately by Belgium international Dennis Praet as he appeared to be in pain.

“It’s too soon. He felt his groin and it didn’t look great, so we’ll have to wait until we get a scan on it,” Smith told LCTV.

Iheanacho has scored two goals in his last three outings for the Foxes.

Leicester City are still hovering round the relegation zone and will as well need all their arsenals when they face another relegation threatened team, Everton in their next Premier League game on Monday 1st.
