Alhaji Azeez Tijani Chairman Lagos State Football Association Electoral Committee, has rolled out the electoral guidelines for the Lagos FA elections and state divisional elections.
The elections would be conducted into Lagos State Football Association and Divisional Football Associations in few weeks to come as some football stakeholders are showing interest in various positions.
He said the divisional elections would hold before State FA election and the sales and submission of forms for DFA elections would commence on 28th April and 6th May.
Tijani disclosed that screening of the candidates would be on 8 and 9 May, while elections proper would hold on 12, May,2023.
Tijani said the elections into Lagos State Football Association would hold on 24,May,2023, while the registration and submission of forms would hold on 28, April and 8, May,2023.
According to him, the screening for candidates would hold on 15,May,2023.
“The guidelines is very important for all the interested candidates and I want the football stakeholders to follow our guidelines throughout our electoral process,” he said.
Commenting on the price for registration forms, Tijani said the registration forms for DFA chairman is N100,000, board members are N50,000,while a female candidate vying for position for DFA board member is N25,000.
Contesting for Chairman’s position of Lagos FA, Tijani disclosed that interested candidate would pay N200,000 for registration form, as Vice chairman’ seat goes to N175,000.
According to Tijani, the registration forms for board members cost N100,000, while female candidate vying for Lagos FA board members would pay N50,000 for registration form
