Celebrated Ghanaian journalist Kwabena Yeboah has predicted incumbent Kwesi Nyantakyi will be ‘president for life’ as the federation prepares to elect a new leader on August 17.

Nyantakyi is in line to win a third term bid as leader of the Ghana FA ahead of the hugely anticipated elections next month in Tamale.

Despite chalking successes during his 10-year reign, the CAF Executive committee member has come under criticism from a tiny minority of the Ghana media over perceived corruption charges.

But highly-respected football commentator and president of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana, Kwabena Yeboah believes Nyantakyi will remain the country’s FA boss for good.

“He has the goodwill of the electorates so it will be difficult to be unseated. He will be president for life,” Yeboah told Accra-based Citi FM.

Many of his opponents who were linked to the job have run helter-skelter after failing to pick nomination forms.
