Southampton manager Ivan Juric has hailed the performance of striker Paul Onuachu, following the team’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Onuachu scored a superb header in the 20th minute, rising to meet Mateus Fernandes’ cross and direct the ball past Dean Henderson.
Although Crystal Palace equalised in stoppage time through substitute Matheus Franca, Juric was impressed with Onuachu’s display.
“Onuachu was really good,” Juric told the BBC. “When he is full of energy, he can be really good. He did some good work.”
The 30-year-old Nigerian international has now scored four goals in 20 league appearances for Southampton this season.
