“?Liverpool could be set for an unexpected foray into the transfer market when the window opens in January, with Jurgen Klopp admitting this week that Danny Ings’ season-ending knee injury has forced him to reevaluate his plans.
The Reds were expected to keep their transfer business to a minimum over the winter following a hectic summer, but Ings’ knee problem means that Klopp will start to look light in attack in the new year – particularly when Sadio Mane departs for the African Cup of Nations.

Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic is expected to be high on the club’s hit-list – with some heads turned earlier in the week when the Dortmund youngster revealed a deep love for English football – saying: “There were so many players that just showed so much skill and confidence in their games.
