The Golden Eaglets laboured to a 2-1 win over Burkina Faso in yesterday’s final to put a smile on the faces of teeming Nigeria soccer fans.
The victory marked the climax of outstanding performances from Nduka Ugbade’s boys, as they were the only team that did not lose a game at the tournament.
The Golden Eaglets picked up the Nation’s Cup ticket after beating Cote d’Ivoire 3-1 in the semifinal and showed more hunger for the trophy against their Burkina Faso counterparts in the final.
