“?Jose Mourinho is prepared to sell defensive quad Chris Smalling, Daley Blind, Matteo Darmian and Marcos Rojo in a plan to revamp his defence, bringing in Roma and Germany centre-back Antonio Rudiger as a replacement, according to “?the Daily Mail.
Rojo and right-back Matteo Darmian are almost certain to leave the club in the January window, with a plan in place to restructure the defence and it could see key defenders Blind and Smalling leave in January as Mourinho’s looks to bring in a centre-back and a right-back.
Smalling & Blind’s futures at the club are under a cloud, with Mourinho targeting a centre back & a right back in January. dailymail
United have conceded 12 goals so far this season, the second most of any club in the top 10, with four of those goals coming from the humiliating defeat to Chelsea last weekend and with top performer Eric Bailly out for two months, it could be a long month for Smalling and Blind at the back.
And to replace either defender is Rudiger, who was linked with Chelsea in the summer and now with the German fit from his knee injury he has clubs lining up to buy him. A fee of £35m would reportedly be enough to bring the ex-Stuttgart man to England.

United are also finding it hard to score, as new boy Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been unlike his usual prolific self, while Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial have also been disappointing in recent weeks and this could see Wayne Rooney back up-front despite being dropped in the previous two games.
