Istanbul FC got their National Division One League campaign off to a flier with a 3-1 win over Might Jets on Sunday.

In-form striker Daniel Adade grabbed a sensational brace with Thomas Avorgbedor getting the other as they coasted to the romp at Akyem Techiman.

Istanbul are making another attempt of qualifying to the Ghana Premier League after coming close on a number of occasions.

The Eastern regional second-tier side finds themselves in a tricky zone three group which includes Tema Youth, Amidaua Professionals, Nania FC, Sporting Mirren, Okwahu United, Dreams FC and D’international.

The rest are King Solomon, Danbort Prestige, Real Athletico, Pure Joy and Kotoku Royals.

The winner of the round-robin format qualifies automatically to the top-flight after the Ghana FA cancelled the promotional play-offs.
