Head Coach Randy Waldrum has called up 22 players of the Super Falcons, among them Rasheedat Ajibade and Asisat Oshoala, for October’s international friendly match against Japan, Nadeshiko, in Kobe.
The list is made up of the regular faces and the four under twenty women’s starlets were part of the Squad against USA.
French base safe hands, Chiamaka Nnadozie, Nkiruka Obidinma, newly signed shot stoper for St Etienne Yewande Balogun are the goalkeepers.
Defensively, Coach Waldrun chose Osinachi Ohale, Ashleigh Plumptre, Oluwatosin Demehin, Glory Ogbonna, Rofiat Imuran, Michelle Alozie.
Regina Otu, Christy Ucheibe, Halimatu Ayinde, Peace Wfih, Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene, Deborah Abiodun were selected as the midfielders.
For the attack, Asisat Oshoala, Uchenna Kanu, Ifeoma Onumonu, Gift Monday, Vivian Ikechukwu, Rasheedat Ajibade and Toni Payne.
The friendly encounter is in continuation of the Falcons’ preparation for the 2023 women’s world cup in Australia.
