Nigeria football Federation has scheduled two friendlies matches for the Flying Eagles. They will engage Benin and Niger Republic in a warm up game before their departure for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina.
The team is expected to leave for an extended training camp in Argentina on Saturday, May 6.
The two friendlies will be played next week.
“We plan to play against Benin and Niger Republics even though they won’t be part of the World Cup,” head coach, Ladan Bosso told reporters.
“We will also play some friendlies in Argentina for the team to blend with the foreign professionals.”
The two-time finalists will face Brazil, Italy and Dominican Republic in Group D at the World Cup.
Their opening game is against Dominican Republic in Mendoza on May 21.
