Super Eagles and Cardiff City defender Jamilu Collins is delighted to be back in action after a prolonged injury that kept him on the sideline.
Collins sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury while in action for Sky Bet Championship club, Cardiff City early this season.
The left-back returned to full training this week after nine months.
The 27-year-old recounts his experience in a chat as gathered from thenff.com.
“I have never suffered any injury since I started playing football professionally and to go through a whole nine months without football was a torrid period for me,” Collins said.
“The ACL injury experience was terrible and when treatment started it was like I got a new knee.”
Collins linked up with the Bluebirds on a free transfer last summer after severing ties with Bundesliga 2 side, SC Paderborn
