KRC Genk striker Tolulope Arokodare has undergone a successful surgery following a tear in the meniscus of his left knee, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Arokodare sustained the injury in the opening 12 minutes of Genk’s 3-0 victory over Oostende last weekend and will now be out of action for several weeks.
Tolu’s injury is surely a setback for him after his good start to life in the Belgium following his goal on his debut against Gent last month.
Knee surgeon, Peter Bollar on Het Belang van limburg via Brilanet owever revealed it was necessary the Nigerian born striker had the surgery.
“There are degenerative accrue crack. The first cracks are mainly cause by wear and tear and must be treated with surgery, physiotherapy and medication.”
Tolu is likely to be our for at least seven weeks but when asked about his possible return date Bollar claims “his return depends on few things.”
