The Imo state Sports Commission Chairman Hon. Prince Elieza Ogbonna in a welcome development has reiterated his support for sporting activities in the State, especially for the Heartland Football Club. He expressed his concern over the present situation of the club and is willing to give his 100% support to ensure that our much-loved club gets on a performing Track.
The Chairman’s impact in sports is currently being felt by football veterans in the state as one of the major sponsors of the ongoing Veterans competition, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.
The Chairman in a meeting yesterday stated that he has consulted widely abroad in a bid to lay a solid foundation for sports in the state and is now on the ground to start the implementation process.
“We sincerely thank the Hon Chairman for his assurances of goodwill for Heartland FC, the Veterans competition, and all other sports. We anticipate a total rebrand of sports and sporting activities in the State now that he is unground”.
“Going by his strong assurance, I believe that Heartland FC will feel his impact going forward both physically and financially.”
