Odion Ighalo has said he’s yet to speak with Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr since making his Transfer deadline day move to Chinese Super League side Changchun Yatai.
The Striker said he’d grown frustrated with his bench role at Watford under new Boss, Walter Mazzarri , and though he preferred to stay in England or Europe, the club dug their heels in on his valuation.
That stance chased suitors as Changchun were willing to meet the asking price.
Ighalo’s transfer means he becomes the second regular Super Eagles player to embrace the Far East; Captain Mikel John Obi signed for Tianjin TEDA FC in January but it is believed Rohr has reservations about his first team players joining CSL clubs.
