Akwa United striker, Uche Collins is desirous of scoring more goals to help his team in the 2022/2023 Nigeria Premier Football League season, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Orange Boys top scorer this season disclose his intentions ahead of their next encounter with Nasarawa United in the match day 13 group A encounter.
The goal poacher whose goal was all United needed to beat 8-time league champion, Enyimba on Sunday said he just wants to help the team get better.
“Every day they say presents a new opportunity and one we must all take. We train hard here before every game and hopefully I impress the manager again enough to get a starting shirt this weekend” Collins said in a post match press conference on Sunday.
“I only try to give my best and support my team mates because that’s the most important thing. God helps me score goals and I only ask for more so we can achieve greater things for the club when the time comes” – He added.
Collins, who is on five goals has been instrumental to the progress made by the Promise Keepers after twelve matches. The Akwa Ibom team have not lost or drawn a game when he scored.
It is left to see what Uche Collins and his teammates do in their match against the Solid Miners that they defeated in the first leg in Uyo by three goals nil when they play on Sunday at the Uyo Township Stadium.
