Hearts name strong 18-man squad for Esperance showdown

Hearts have announced a strong 18-man squad for their CAF Confederation Cup first leg against Esperance on Sunday.

The squad excludes striker Selasie Adjei and midfielder Emmanuel Hayford who failed the late fitness test.

But captain Robin Gnange returns to the squad after missing the return leg against Djoliba due to suspension.

Hearts coach Herbert Addo is keen to guide the side to the group phase of the competition after excelling so far.

Defenders: Fatawu Mohammed, Isaac Oduro, Ruben Gnagne, Phillip Boampong, Kweku Andoh, Vincent Atinga

Midfielders: Emmanuel Sabahn Laryea, Richard Yamoah, Paul Acquah, Leonard Tawiah, Isaac Mensah, Thomas Abbey, Kofi Abanga,

Attackers: Gilbert Fiamenyor, Foovi Aguidi, Eric Kumi
