“He is quick, good at dribbling, even strong with his head”Gasperini hails l Lookman’s development

Gian Piero Gasperini, manager of Atalanta, has acknowledged the significant improvement in the performance of Ademola Lookman since his arrival at the club, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Lookman, now in his second season at Gewiss Stadium, joined Atalanta from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig two years ago. The 26-year-old showcased his prowess last season by emerging as La Dea’s top scorer with 13 goals and three assists in 31 league appearances.

In the current campaign, the Nigerian international has continued to shine, tallying eight goals and three assists in 21 league outings. Gasperini praised Lookman’s evolution as a player, noting his enhanced offensive prowess.

“We all see Lookman’s potential and speed, but we must admit that he once didn’t play so offensively,” Gasperini remarked to Pazzi di Fanta. “He used to score 6/7 goals a year, while now he is quick, good at dribbling, even strong with his head.”

Encouraging Lookman to maintain his performance level, Gasperini highlighted the winger’s ability to influence games positively when in the attacking zone.

Lookman recently featured for the full 90 minutes in Atalanta’s Europa League encounter against Sporting Lisbon.
