“?Harry Kane has goaded Arsenal fans after he claimed that it gets “sweeter” every time he scores against them in North London derbies.
The Tottenham Hotspur striker returned to the starting line up, after eight weeks out with ankle ligament damage, to face off against the Gunners at the Emirates on Sunday, and spoke to the club’s “?official website in the wake of the stalemate in the capital.
Ploughing a long furrow up front, Kane saw a gilt-edge diving header land the wrong side of the post in a superb opportunity to get back to his scoring ways, but was not to be denied his customary goal against Arsene Wenger’s men when he slotted home a penalty after Moussa Dembele had been hauled down in the box by Laurent Koscielny.
Kevin Wimmer’s own goal before half-time had seen Mauricio Pochettino’s men enter the break 1-0 down but, thanks to Kane’s intervention, the Lilywhite salvaged a point in the 1-1 draw to keep them in touching distance of the pack at the top of the Premier League table.
The strike from 12 yards also took Kane’s record to five goals in as many games against Arsenal, with many Gunners fans no doubt becoming sick and tired of seeing the England international register efforts against them.
In the aftermath of the match, the 23-year-old forward spoke about returning to full fitness, facing Spurs’ fierce rivals and how good it was to score against them once more.

He said: “It felt great to be back out there with the team, fighting for the team and I was delighted to get a goal. It was an important goal to get us back in the game and we could have even sneaked a winner at the end when Christian (Eriksen) hit the post (with a free kick).
“I’ve scored a few goals against Arsenal now and it gets sweeter every time I score, especially in front of the fans. The travelling support was great again.
“I feel good. It’s been a tough spell sitting it out and watching the team so I was delighted to get back out there and get some minutes under my belt.”
