Hamza Abdul’azeez Abara beckons on Niger Tornadoes management to hasten up on ongoing renovation work at Bako Kontagora Memorial Stadium

Hamza Abdul’azeez Abara Niger Tornadoes head coach has beckoned on the management and State government to hasten up on the ongoing renovation work at Bako Kontagora Memorial Stadium so that the team will be able to return back to their home ground for the remainder of the 2023/24 NPFL campaign.

He revealed this in his post-match interview after Niger Tornadoes were held to a goalless draw by Remo Stars at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna in a match day 12 encounter played behind closed doors, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.

“What we planned for was a win but we couldn’t conquer which is quite disturbing because we’ve been having sleepless nights trying to correct how to convert our chances”.

“Not that we are not getting or creating the chances but how to convert the chances have been our greatest undoing”.

“We have been giving the players the necessary coaching guides in terms of goal scoring because that’s our responsibility”.

“While I want to use this medium to commend my players, I think, one of the factors affecting our performance is the fact that we are playing our home matches away from home and we are yet the adapt to the situation, because any team playing us, sees here, as a neutral venue”.

“So in this regard, I would like to call on the Management and by extension the State Government to as a matter of urgency hasten up in completing the ongoing renovation work at the Bako Kontagora Memorial Stadium so that we can go back.”
