Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan says he no longer wants to be asked questions over the whereabouts of his missing hip-life partner Castro.

The award-winning artiste and a female friend – Jane Bandu – went missing while on a holiday hangout with the Black Stars captain back in July.

Castro, real named Theophilus Tagoe has since not been found while rumours of he being cited in various locations circulate.

Asamoah Gyan has meanwhile bourne the brunt of sections of the public and has been widely blamed and vilified for the incident that led to his friend’s disappearance.

The Al Ain ace is even thought by some people of having ‘sacrificed’ his friend for rituals to benefit his football career.

The 29-year-old in his first ever direct reaction to these charges admits the disappearance of his friend remains one of the difficulties in his life and will no longer answer to questions related to the incident.

“It [disappearance of Castro] continues to be one of the difficult moments in my life,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“And people also try to abuse you verbally which I think it is not a good thing to do.

“Even on my Instagram, I will just be there and somebody writes; ‘where is Castro’.

“I just sit down and I will be like if the person was in my shoes, how will the person feel if someone asked him that sort of question?

“Somebody even comes out with sacrifices and stuff.

“If my friend is alive then he should come out and say it, if we don’t find him, then life goes on.

“But I always pray for him wherever he is because God is the creator of everything so at the end of the day, it is God who is going to judge everybody.

“What I will advice is for people to stop asking those questions that where is Castro.

“I am not God, I don’t create human beings. And if an accident happens and someone is asking me where is Castro, what does the person want me to say or what does he want me to do?

“I feel for his family and I feel for myself because he is part of my family.”
