Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny has insisted that he is happy at Arsenal despite being linked with a move to German champions Bayern Munich.

The 31-year-old, who gave away a vital penalty in the 1-1 draw against rivals Tottenham, has just one year remaining on his current contract, leading to interest from the likes of Bayern Munich.

Talks over a new £90k-a-week contract have stalled, casting further doubt over the defender’s future in north-London.

But now, Koscienly has revealed that there is ‘no reason’ for him to leave the club as he is happy with his levels of performance.

Speaking to“? Le10 Sport, he said: “?”?My future? I work really well at the club, and they are also happy with my work so I don’t see why there would be a reason to leave.”

The Frenchman did however refuse to completely rule out a switch, claiming that ‘it is always possible’.

He added: “Desire to travel? It is always possible, but at the moment I haven’t bought a plane ticket.”?

While it’s unlikely that the towering defender will leave this January, speculation is rife over a potential summer-move, with several clubs reported to be interested.

Arsenal’s draw with north-London rivals Tottenham leaves them in fourth, two points behind league-leaders Liverpool and three points above Sunday’s opponents.
