Iskeel Rasheed, Iwo All Stars goalkeeper was the man of the game yesterday as his club became the second team to qualify for this year’s Hammola Football Championship semifinal after beating Okinni United 3-1 on penalties, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.
The goalkeeper singlehandedly pushed Iwo All Stars to the semifinals with his outstanding display in goal against a solid Okinni United’s attack.
He first saved Olalere Dauda’s 77th minute penalty to ensure his team remained in the tournament with about 3 minutes to the end of the regulation time.
He then put away a couple of penalties in the shootouts as Iwo All Stars progressed 3-1.
Iwo All Stars have now joined host Hammola FC in the semifinal.
In the 3rd quarterfinal game billed for today, Surprise FC Ejigbo will tackle Young Talented FC Ido Osun by 3:30pm at the Ido Osun High School pitch.
The Hammola Football Championship is a grassroot tournament organized by Grassroot Football Coaches Council, Egbedore(GFCCE) and powered by Hammola Global CEO Hon Odeyemi Muhydeen Oladele.
