All is now set for the 2022 Hammola Football Championship quarterfinals as four more teams secured their place on Sunday, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.
In the first match played on Sunday, Ganiyu Fatai won it late for Surprise FC Ejigbo as his 80th minute strike helped them defeat UN Tigers FC by a lone goal.
Afolayan Tunde (pk) 51′ and Sodiq Tunde were on song as IMO FA defeated Future Boys 2-0 in the second game of the day.
Following a goaless regulation time scoreline in the 3rd game of Sunday between Young Talented FC and Deen Babes, the former went on to win 4-2 on penalties to become the 7th team to enter the quarterfinal.
And in the last round of 16 game, penalties were needed to decide the winner between TSO FC and City Roller Coaster FC after the game finished 0-0 in full time and it was TSO FC who progressed 4-1 on penalties.
With the quarterfinals teams now complete, from Tuesday to Friday, actions will resume at the Ido Osun High School field with the battle for the 4 semifinal set to go down.
In the first quarterfinal game, host Hammola FC will take on Beyond the Limit FC by 3:30pm on Tuesday.
