Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus has joined Ahmed Musa as one of the youngest African players to score two goals in a FIFA World Cup match.
Mohammed Kudus became the first Ghanaian to score a brace at the World Cup after Ghana’s 3-2 win over South Korea on Monday.
He also became the second youngest African at 22 years 118 days to score two goals in a World Cup game following the footsteps of Nigeria’s Ahmed Musa.
Ahmed Musa was the youngest at 21 years and 254 days when he scored a brace against Argentina at the 2014 World Cup.
The young star was awarded the man of the match trophy after the win against South Korea.
With the win, Ghana has breathe life into their campaign at the World Cup as they seek a round of 16 qualification in their last match against Uruguay.
