Ghana defender Baba Rahman was in superb shape for FC Augsburg as they edged giants Bayern Munich 2-1 in the German Telekom Cup on Sunday afternoon.
The 21-year-old recovered from an injury he suffered during his off-season holidays to play the entire duration of the game Korean international Jeong-Ho Hong and Alexander Esswein scored twice within the first-half to snatch victory for Augsburg.
Rahman, who has been linked with a move to Italian Serie A AS Roma, played his first pre-season game for the side during the week against SSV Jahn Regensburg.
Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola paraded a strong side that featured Xavi Alonso, David Alabi, Thomas Muller and other top stars.
But his Augsburg counterpart Weinzierl responded by lining up Rahman and his colleagues who claimed a famous pre-season victory.
