But the English clubs face stuff competition from a club in Qatar who are keen on signing the Italy-based U20 World Cup winner.

Reports in Italy have linked Watford with a move for Udinese’s Badu but Stoke City are also said to be interested in the midfielder.

The 24-year-old has become a regular starter for the Little Zebras and made 27 appearances in Serie A last season.

According to www.tuttomercatoweb.com, Qatari club Al-Sadd, who recently signed former Barcelona star Xavi, have reportedly submitted an offer.

The Potters and Hornets are also linked with a move for the Ghana international who prefers a move to England where he could enhance his profile.
