The Vice President of the Ghana Football Association Fred Crentsil says he is unable to confirm when the bonuses for Black Stars win over Mauritius in the 2017 Africa cup of nation’s qualifiers will be paid.

The Stars are still to be paid their bonuses for the heavy win over Mauritius that put them in pole position in Group H of the 2017 AFCON qualifiers.

This situation is the first time in almost a decade that the ministry has taken almost a month to pay the team its winning bonuses, a condition that has been described by many as unfortunate.

Fred Crentsil who led a delegation from the Ghana Football Association to meet the minister on Wednesday says he is unable to confirm when the money will be finally paid despite meeting the minister.

“We were able to touch on a lot of issues but we have been unable to reach at the point when the money will be paid,” Crentsil told Citi FM

“But there has been efforts made by the minister to ensure that the money is paid as soon as possible.”

Ghana beat Mauritius 7-1 to take control of Group H ahead of Rwanda who also had an away victory over Mozambique.
