“?With the January transfer window in full swing, reports from Spain suggest that a big move could be on the way; either in the next few weeks or in the summer.
Notorious Spanish rumourmongers “?Don Balon report that Gerard Pique could be heading back to the Premier League for the first time since he left Manchester United in 2008…because wife Shakira is tired of living in Catalunya.

The story, which the outlet helpfully prefix as a ‘¡BOMBAZO!’ in case there was any doubt about the size of the potential fallout, claims that the centre back is less popular in the Barcelona dressing room than he would like and hint that some at the club would be less than devastated to see him leave.
The story hits the vast majority of the ‘only in the transfer window’ story checkmarks – between vague mentions of ‘sources’, implied behind-the-scenes disruption without a great deal of proof, and rumours of personal issues moving the speculation along.
And Chelsea are involved…ish.

The outlandish report goes on to suggest that a move to London would suit both Pique and his popstar wife best – with his former Barca teammate, fellow Spain international and friend Cesc Fabregas plying his trade with the Blues in the west of the English capital.
Take the reports with a pinch of salt if you must; but the report starts with the sentence ‘Gerard Piqué lives in a guerrilla war’. How could you not want to see where goes?
