“?The Daily Mail has reported that Gary Neville will reprise his role as a Sky Sports pundit once again for the 2016/17 Premier League season.

England assistant head coach Neville is expected to take up Sky’s offer to return to TV screens after the Three Lions’ involvement at Euro 2016 is over.

Neville, however, will still be allowed to continue his part-time role in assisting current England manager Roy Hodgson with the senior set-up.

Neville originally left the role when he took up the reigns at Spanish side Valencia – the first senior managerial appointment of his career – in December 2015.

However, the former Manchester United full-back endured a torrid time at the Mestalla, winning just 10 of 28 matches before his four-month tenure was brought to a close in March.

The ex-right back has spent his time juggling his commitments with England, his part-ownership of non-league outfit Salford FC and his hotel business venture, Hotel Football, which is located next to United’s Old Trafford home.

Sky have failed to replace Neville’s outstanding punditry since his departure in December, but his return will be a major coup for the media giants ahead of the new football campaign.

The 41-year-old will likely pair up with former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher once more – the duo enjoying a fruitful partnership as they dissected tactical set-ups and discussed other footballing matters with intelligence.

Neville and Carragher will be joined by a new Sky Sports presenter for next term too, with Dave Jones replacing the outgoing Ed Chamberlain, who is set to join ITV.
