‘France vs Morocco is an AFCON final’ – Okocha

Former Super Eagles and Bolton Wanderers captain Austin Jay Jay Okocha has tagged the semifinal clash at the ongoing FIFA World Cup between France and Morocco an AFCON final, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.

With many players representing the France national team linked with an African origin, it is no surprising that the football legend as chosen to jokingly named the tie Morocco an AFCON final.

“France versus Morocco is an AFCON Final,” Okocha said.

Legends of the game who had in time past represented and won laurels for the French team have their roots in Africa. The likes of Zinedine Zidane and even players like Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembélé, Jules Koundé, Eduardo Camavinga and many more still actively playing for France are Africans.

France and Morocco will clash in the second semifinal at the ongoing Qatar FIFA World Cup on Wednesday.
