Former Super Eagles head coach and current Technical Adviser of Nasarawa United, Salisu Yusuf, has lost his daughter, Fauziya, following a prolonged illness, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.
The tragic news was confirmed in a statement by the club’s Director of Media, Eche Amos.
“We are deeply saddened to learn about the passing of the beloved daughter of our Technical Adviser, Salisu Yusuf, which occurred on Sunday evening,” the statement read.
“Fauziya, the third child of Coach Salisu Yusuf, was 28 years old and held a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Bayero University, Kano.
“She has since been laid to rest according to Islamic rites at Kofar Gadon Kaya, Kano.
“Our hearts go out to our beloved Coach and his family during this incredibly difficult time. The entire club stands with him in prayer and support, wishing him strength, comfort, and peace.
“May the cherished memories of his daughter be a source of solace, and may the Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings and grant her Aljanna Firdausi.”
