Falconets coach Chris Danjuma said his tactics and game plans against South Korea was the reason he left Deborah Abiodun out of the second game group encounter, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.
Abiodun played a key role in the team’s opening game against France but to the surprise of many was left out of the team when the list for the game against South Korea was released on Sunday.
The team coach however hinted that her omission was purely based on tactics and game plans.
“We came to the World Cup and everybody is as good to go and again the team selection is based on the opponent.
“There was something we needed in the middle, we have two attacking midfielders Deborah and Esther we needed somebody that will hold our midfield and that was the tactics,” he stated.
Deborah will return to the team’s final group match against Canada on Thursday.
