The Nigeria football Federation has secured a pre tournament friendly Match for the Flying Eagles with the Columbian U20 national team on Tuesday 16th May, ahead of their 2023 FIFA World Cup group opener against Dominican Republic,
The friendly game will strengthen the tactical strategy of the Flying Eagles especially when they face the South American teams
Nigeria are drawn in group D with Dominican Republic, Italy and Brazil where only the two top teams progress to the knock-out stage.
Meanwhile, the 2015 African champions will lock horns with a local football club in Argentina before next Tuesday’s international friendly game against Columbia.
It was gathered from BSN Sports interview with NFF Official that a warm up game with a local team is in the works but can’t give the exact date.
The Flying Eagles have won the African U20 Championships seven times and have record second placed in 1989 and 2005.
