Nigeria Women’s U17 team, Flamingoes has arrived in India ahead of the U-17 Women’s World cup that will kick off this weekend.
The team under coach Bankole Olowookere spent 10-days in Turkey for training and warm-up games.
They played two matches in Turkey against Galatasaray and Fenerbahce before embarking on their journey to India.
Both fixtures ended 3-1, with the Flamingos on the winning side against Galatasaray but Fenerbache carried out revenge for their fellow Turkish side defeating the Flamingos by the same scoreline 3-1.
They arrived in the Indian capital Mumbai on Friday morning and moved to Goa the venue of their opening group game against Germany on October 11th.
They made this known through the Super Falcons official Twitter handle.
The tweet read:

The players and their technical crew were quickly moved to the Grand Hayyat hotel where they will stay for their group matches.
They were drawn with European giants Germany, Chile and New Zealand in Group B.
