The Federal Government of Nigeria presented a 3-bed room flat each to former Super Eagles World Cup stars Ike Shorunmu, Mutiu Adepoju and Finidi George as well as Dr Amu in Oyo state.
The apartments which share a fence with Kola Daisi University are located along Ibadan-Oyo Road.
The presentation was made in fulfilment of the promises by the government to reward the Eagles set who flew the country’s flag high at the USA 1994 World Cup.
Earlier this month, the Federal Government has redeemed its pledge of a house to former Coach of the Super Eagles, Clemens Westerhof, who led the Eagles to win their second African Cup of Nations title in 1994.
In that event, the FG stated that other ex Super Eagles players of the1994 team had also been given their houses at the respective states of their choice.
