Fenerbahce up offer as battle to keep Nigerian star intensifies

Fenerbahce are not willing to give up on their push to tie Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel to a new deal, the Turkish giants have reportedly increased their offer in a bid to lure him to sign the extension amidst interest from top clubs, Nigeriasoccernet.com writes.

Contract talks between the player’s camp and the club have stalled over the years which has put clubs on red alert. Having established himself as a key part of the Yellow Canaries, the club is desperate to hold onto one of their most valuable asset.

Currently on a £2.5 million yearly base salary, the new offer as per Fanatik is a significant increase that will put him slightly below the club’s top earners with the player reportedly considering the offer.

Nottingham Forest has registered keen interest but the ultimate decision lies with the player as the summer transfer window draws nigh.
