Ahead of the EPL clash against Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has provided an injury update Ola Aina who was substituted in the first half of the historic win against Manchester United, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Super Eagles international sustained an injury during the first half of their Premier League match against Manchester United, which they won 1-0. Specifically, Aina experienced discomfort in his calf, necessitating on-field medical attention.

Following an assessment on the pitch, the severity of the calf issue prompted his immediate substitution. He was observed hobbling as he exited the field and entered the tunnel. To determine the precise extent of the injury and the required recovery period, Aina is scheduled to undergo a medical scan as revealed by the Portuguese tactician.

“We have to assess. It is always a concern when a player gets injured by himself.

“He is going to have a scan and we will see how it is. We’re not quite sure what it is, only the scan will say exactly”, Santos said as quoted from Nottinghamshire.
