Ghanaian Muslims are generally huge football fans which has resulted in many players following Islam and administrators as well as fans.

Especially to players in the Ghana Premier League who had to combine work and fast the last 30 days including reverts like Gideon Waja (WAFA), Foli Adade (Medeama), Ronald Bortey (Olympics), Kwaku Andoh (Hearts of Oak), just to mention a few. 

Black Stars players Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew, Sulley Muntari, Rashid Sumaila, Fatau Dauda, Mubarak Wakaso, Abdul Majeed Waris, Ishmael Yartey, Mohammed Rabiu are all among the players who Muslims.

Alhaji Grunsah of King Faisal, Owners of New Edubiase Abdul Salam and Joe Abu Salam, Alhaji Hearts, Alhaji Abu Lamini of Kotoko are some of the Muslim football administrators in Ghana.
