
Egypt plan to play three friendlies including two against Burkina Faso as part of preparations for a crucial 2017 AFCON double header against Nigeria in March.
Egypt Football Association (EFA) executive committee member Ihab Lehita disclosed the Pharaohs will play two friendly games against Burkina Faso in Cairo on January 24 and 28.
A third game will be announced later and is expected to be against Romania or Uzbekistan in February.
Egypt are top of their AFCON qualifying group with six points from two matches, while Nigeria are second on four points.
Only the group winners will automatically qualify for the 2017 AFCON in Gabon.
