Ebere Eze scores twice to condemn Onuachu’s Southampton to relegation spot

The struggles continue for Southampton as Ebere Eze got a brace to give Crystal Palace 2-0 victory away from home, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Eze, for the second consecutive game for the Eagles was on target but it’s worries for Nigeria internationals, Joe Aribo and Paul Onuachu who both had their time on the pitch on match day 31 of the English Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Eze scored his first goal in the 54th minute when he pounced on a rebound before burying the ball into the middle of the goal to give Palace the lead.

He doubled the away side’s lead in the 68th minute when he collected a beautiful pass from Cheick Doucouré before producing a beautiful strike into the back of the net.

While another Super Eagles eligible, Micheal Olise was having a good day for Palace, Aribo who was starting for the Saints for the first time since December was more of a passerby before he was replaced by his compatriot, Onuachu, who had no shot at goal.

Things may likely remain the same for the St. Mary’s occupant as they play Arsenal in their next game.
